What Is Batch Testing?

Batch testing is when you take 1 bottle from a batch of supplements produced and test the contents of the capsules. This bottle represents the contents of the whole batch because they were all made at the same time.

We do this to make sure that everything which should be there is, and that nothing that shouldn’t be there has found it’s way in.

What We Test For

Our batch testing is independently conducted by organisations including Cawthorn Laboratories and Southern Cross University. Our testing focuses on the amount of key ingredients and ensuring no contaminants are present.

Omega-3 Levels

In Lester’s Oil and Lester’s Oil Advanced we test the levels of both types of Omega-3s in the formula, EPA and DHA. We make sure that they aways meet or exceed the levels listed on the label. In fact, almost every time they come back higher, which is a bonus for you!

Resveratrol Levels

In Res-V Ultimate we test for correct levels of resveratrol. Being the key ingredient, this is super important that it meets or exceeds the label claims and we are proud to ensure this.

Mercury

We also test to make sure that there is no mercury present in the fish oil. If fish are taken from polluted water or have eaten contaminated organisms, these contaminants will be present in any fish oil made from them. Mercury is highly toxic and linked to a host of negative health effects. This is why it’s so important to check every batch to make sure it’s not present.

Heavy Metals

In Lester’s Oil, Lester’s Oil Advanced, and Res-V Ultimate we test for heavy metals such as lead and arsenic to make sure they are not present in our formulas.
