What makes Element 12 better than most Magnesium supplements?
There are 3 different forms of magnesium – all of which offer excellent absorption and bioavailability meaning the body can easily utilise the magnesium provided; these forms are also gentle on the stomach. Some magnesium complexes offer seemingly much higher amounts of magnesium, such as magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide – but these forms have poor bioavailability so you do not end up getting as much magnesium into the body as you do with the forms we have used in Element 12 Magnesium. The three forms of magnesium we have used are magnesium citrate, magnesium orotate and magnesium amino acid chelate. An additional benefit of magnesium orotate is the orotic acid it is bound to has been shown to have heart health and energy benefits.
The remaining eleven nutrients act either as co-factors working to further support the body’s ability to utilise the magnesium or to independently add further relaxation support.
Vitamins D and B6 along with selenium are essential co-factors for magnesium utilisation. B-group vitamins (B1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 12 and folic acid) are well known to support our nervous system and are particularly useful during times of tension. While each of the B vitamins has a specific benefit they have been found to work best when taken together, collectively they are known as the ‘anti-stress’ vitamins.
