Daniel King
Director

Daniel has background in business and science. After completing a Master Degree in science in the mid 1990’s he went on to work as an environmental scientist.

As director of About Health Supplements Ltd, Daniel is responsible for the establishment of systems and procedures to ensure all aspects of the business are carried out efficiently. With a career that includes developing Quality Control procedures for New Zealand Steel, Daniel is always looking for ways to improve the customer’s experience.

Science remains a passion for Daniel and he spends considerable amounts of time ensuring About Health remains up to date with the latest research relating to our products, and ensuring our products exceed the quality standards expected of a leading supplement company.

Laurence Eyres
B.Sc., PhD., MBA, FNZIFST
ECG Ltd

Dr. Laurence Eyres, runs his own contracting / consulting business for the Food and Dietary Supplements Industries specializing in dairy ,oils and fats and related lipids, product and business development. Until recently (2009) he was Business Development Director, Food and Nutrition at Auckland University. Laurence has had a varied career in the Food Industry spanning thirty five years. He is seen as one of the most experienced scientists in NZ in the field of oils and fats (lipids).

He has held managing director (Sabre Safety) and general manager positions as well as Technical and Operations Directors’ roles with Abels Ltd. ETA Foods, APV, Bluebird Foods, NZ Dairy Foods, and Fonterra Brands. He has also held roles in the Universities, namely Director and Associate Professor of Food Technology and Agribusiness at Massey University (2000) and  Business Development Director role at Auckland University.

He is a  recently retired board Director of FSANZ (June 2010) and has advisory roles with the NZ Nutrition Foundation and NZ Heart Foundation.
He is Chairman of the NZIC Oils and Fats specialist group, a role he has held on and off for 30 years.
He has many scientific papers in his name in a variety of  areas and topics.
He is the managing editor of a book on oils and fats with an Australasian perspective.

Jacqueline Boland
Marketing Manager

Originally from the UK, Jacqueline graduated from the University of Teesside with a BA Hons degree in Creative Advertising and Promotion.

Jacqueline joined the About Health team in June 2011 and now oversees all things design and marketing related.

When she’s not working, she’s generally working-out. Jacqueline is a self-confessed CrossFit addict, who enjoys taking on new challenges both at work and in the gym.

Nafisha Ali
Marketing Co-ordinator

Nafisha graduated from the Auckland University of Technology with a degree in Marketing and Management.

She joined the About Health team in July 2011 and is involved in all things marketing related and day-to-day running of the business.  

Outside of work, Nafisha enjoys going to the gym and socialising with friends.
